Shuni Fortress – A National Historic Site



Between Binyamina and Zikhron Yaakov lies the Shuni fortress.
Shuni fortress was a roman theatre from the end of the 2nd century during the Talmudic era. During the Ottoman era it served as an inn and as a hay storage building. The fortress had many different functions along the years.
1982-1988 – preservation/ restoration actions were taken, designating the site to serve as a museum and a restaurant, as a part of the Jabotinsky Park.
