The Shachamon Neighborhood – Eilat
A master plan and detailed plans for a new residential quarter at the southern edge of Eilat, which slopes down from the foot of the mountains to the beach of the Eilat bay between the Groff Stream and Shachamon Stream designated as desert scenery reservations.
The quarter is divided into eight sections in three topographic terraces:
The top terrace contains high-density residence, the middle terrace contains low-density residence and the bottom terrace contains low-rise residence, boarding houses, recreational units and hotels along the shoreline.
The main streets, commanding an uninterrupted view, are planned as shaded boulevards designed, as is the central park at the heart of the neighborhood, as principal landscape elements.
Scheme area: 3,200,000 sq.m
Residence: 7,000 res. Units.
Status: under advanced construction phase, mostly occupied.
